EDITION 1 TO 21

This Gold edition is presented in a numbered wooden “case casket” signed and imprinted with a work by Philippe Pasqua. The case contains an original sculpture by the artist and vintage wines selected by Alexandre de Malet Roquefort (Château La Gaffelière, Château La Connivence and La Belle Connivence).

limited edition

This exceptional edition was carefully chosen for contemporary art collectors, connoisseurs of Premiers grands crus classés - Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, and is just the first step in a partnership set to continue until 2017.

THE SCULPTURE

Skulls and the vanitas theme (memento mori) have played a role in Philippe Pasqua’s work since 1998-99, when he created his first real human skulls covered in gold leaf and butterflies, followed by a series of leather-bound and tattooed skulls. Vanitas became more present in his work in the 2000s, on paper and canvas, and in bronze and silver or sculpted in marble. They each invite us to reflect on the passage of time. Death spares no man.
